While looking through my catalogue for images to upload, I came across this shot. This photo was from a band shoot I did a while back. It was one of those shoots where planning goes right out the window and you just go with the moment. Long story short, we were on our way to the shoot location when I decided to stop at this closed down BBQ joint I had seen a few weeks before. They were going to demolish the building the next day so I figured, why not take a closer look. Much of the building was already gone but the back area where the smoker used to sit was still in tact. When it comes to old buildings like this, you can’t buy that kind of age, texture and grime. As it turns out, it was the perfect backdrop for the shoot and we had to go no further. One thing about rock bands, most of the time they are up for a little spontaneity.
